Beta-glucans are glucose molecule compounds which occur in the natural world, amongst other things in the cell walls of fungi, yeasts and grain varieties such as oats and barley. As we know today, beta-glucans develop numerous effects within the human organism which have a positive effect on our health. It has been confirmed by independent researchers from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) that beta-glucans contribute towards the retention of a normal cholesterol level in the blood. The prerequisite for this is that those affected take 3 g beta-glucans from oats per day. This is guaranteed through a daily dose of 9 beta-glucan capsules.
